Practical equipment. Prepared households.
The muddy boots are ready to get in the car. The nearest hose is back at home. A portable rinse tank can help with that moment—but choosing one starts with the amount of water you need and where you will refill it.
A 5L hand-pump tank is worth considering for a planned rinse of sandy feet, boots or outdoor gear. If your plan requires repeated long showers, automatic heating or making untreated water drinkable, those are different requirements. This guide helps you check the fit before spending money. It is buying guidance, not a hands-on test.
Start with the rinse job, then count the water
Five liters is about 1.3 U.S. gallons. That is the whole tank capacity, not a promise of a certain number of showers or minutes of spray. Mode, pumping and how you use the trigger affect consumption. Decide what you want to rinse, how many people will share the supply and whether a suitable refill is available.
Make the decision concrete: write down the jobs in the order you expect to use the tank. “Two pairs of sandy feet, then muddy boots” is more useful than “water for the weekend.” If you have not measured how much your intended rinse uses, leave capacity as an open question. Do not assume the last person will have enough because the first rinse looked short.
| Your situation | Check before buying |
|---|---|
| Rinsing boots or feet before loading the car | How much water your cleanup needs, where you will set the tank and where a refill is available |
| Several people sharing one tank | Total demand between refills; do not treat 5L as unlimited water |
| Wanting a warm rinse | A permitted source of warm water and the product instructions; insulation does not heat water |
| Needing drinking water | A separate drinking-water plan; this rinse tank does not filter or disinfect |
| Wanting a private, hands-free shower setup | Whether you also need a mount or enclosure; neither is part of the kit described below |
Check the work you will do yourself
A hand-pump system avoids an electrical hookup or a battery to charge for pumping. You still supply suitable clean water, fill the tank and operate the pump. Before ordering, read the operating instructions and decide whether that process fits the people who will use it. “No battery” is a useful feature; it does not mean there is no preparation.
Keep heating separate from pumping. The BeachBox tank has an insulated cover and accepts hot tap water under its listed instructions. It does not heat the water. Never add boiling water. This guide makes no claim about how long water will remain warm or how long a full tank will spray.
What the $120 BeachBox offer includes
Our current BeachBox Portable Outdoor Shower Tank—Black listing is a complete rinse kit: black 5L tank, pump, hose, shower gun and cover. It has five spray modes. A storage box, hands-free mount and privacy enclosure are not included. Product photographs that show an outdoor setting do not add the surrounding equipment to your order.
The price is $120, with standard shipping included to the contiguous 48 states and Washington, DC. Applicable sales tax is extra. This item is not offered for delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories or international destinations. Other suppliers' products can ship separately with their own charges; adding EcoGear items does not make their $7 shipping charge disappear where those items are eligible.
We do not claim to offer the lowest price. The manufacturer's own current product page also lists the black tank at $120 with domestic-shipping terms. Compare the exact package, destination eligibility and returns before choosing where to order. Availability and terms can change.
Read the return cost before the first trip
The SPM BeachBox listing allows a return request within 21 days of delivery. Change-of-mind returns must be unused, complete and ready for resale, and the customer pays return shipping. Qualifying resalable returns receive the product-price refund less the return-label cost; the original included outbound shipping is not deducted. A 25% deduction may apply to a damaged or nonresalable return. Obtain authorization before sending anything back.
Arrival damage, a wrong item or a possible covered defect should be reported first. The 12-month parts warranty may involve troubleshooting, parts or an authorized return; it is not a promise of a cash refund for every defect. Read the complete current return and warranty terms on the product page before checkout.
A quick decision before you pack
- Name the cleanup job.
- Count everyone sharing the water.
- Identify a suitable clean-water refill source.
- Confirm that manual pumping and the included parts fit your use.
- Compare the delivered price and the return cost.
If those checks fit, a portable hand-pump rinse can be a practical addition to your trip. If capacity, heating or water treatment is the real requirement, resolve it before buying this tank.
For household planning beyond outdoor cleanup, our three-day power outage checklist starts with essential jobs and keeps drinking-water needs separate from rinse equipment.
